IUI Treatment

If couples are still faced with infertility and are still unable to become pregnant after one year of unprotected sexual intercourse then the first line therapy like ovulation induction to be done followed by intrauterine insemination, intrauterine insemination

It is an Outpatient procedure done without Anaesthesia and admission. A Low cost procedure and painless wherein husband’s semen is collected.  In the lab active and healthy sperm are separated mechanically and the dead/unhealthy ones are discarded.  Using thin and flexible catheter/tube these healthy sperms are placed into uterine cavity very close to the tubal opening.  Hence the healthy sperms in large number are placed very close to the egg (Ovum) thus increasing the chance of fertilization of pregnancy. The procedure is often advised for couples with Male factor (Poor sperms mobility problem with erections)
